I have a 4 cylinder, automatic transmission if that is what you are asking. I surely hope someone responds to this thread soon, we are roasting in our cars! The dealership told me that I would most likely have to get another control panel (from the junk yard, no less) because they could not get their hands on one themselves. My thermostat control panel flashes on and off when it is "working", does yours too? They flushed the Freon and recharged the air conditioner, all to no avail. I took my car to the dealership and had the exact same thing happen to me. Wow, I thought I was the only one who was having this problem! So, in conclusion, this is a sporadic problem in which air conditioner work at times and other times it does not. At times, I have noticed that if I leave the air conditioner control knob in the ON position and reach high speeds of 60-70 mph, that the unit will begin working. Mostly, it seems to work most mornings, but my rides in the afternoon are usually without air conditioning. So, here are things I have noticed, chances for air conditioner coming on are likely much greater when my car is not left out in direct sunlight. They were unable to replicate the problem. I took the car to the Honda dealer and they kept the car for two days and with my luck, the unit performed perfectly the time it was there. Sometimes, it will not turn on for multiple days, then all of a sudden it will work just fine. Let me clarify, it is not that the air conditioner unit does not properly cool or heat the car, but instead it just does not turn on. For the last one year, I have noticed that my air conditioner unit does not turn on at times. I don't have a simple way to display the pages in the Honda Service Manual for your car, but if you want to comment as to results if you run the diagnostic, I can maybe add to the answer.I have a strange problem with the air conditioner unit in my car. 11 Blinks indicates a problem in the mode control motor circuit.10 blinks indicates open or short in the mode control motor circuit.I suspect thaat the DTC will show 10 or 11 blinks, since you have a '10 Accord LX (assuming automatic transmission) and per the service manual: If no DTCs found, the indicator does not blink. The indicator pauses 3 seconds, then repeats the DTC blink sequence. If there are multiple DTCs the indicator blinks each DTC in sequence from the lowest DTC number to the highest Once the sequence is finished, the recirculation indicator blinks and the blinks indicate the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) number. The blower motor will run at various speeds in the self-diagnostic mode.Release the RECIRCULATION button the recirculation indicator blinks two times, then the self-diagnosis begins. Press and hold the RECIRCULATION button, then within 10 seconds press and release the REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER / MIRROR DEFOGGER button five times.Set the fan control dial to OFF, the Temperature Control dial to Max Cool and select the VENT mode.Turn the ignition switch to Lock (0) and then back to ON (II).That said, you can run a check on your system from the controls: Since You indicate that you have an LX model, I would assume that you don't have a climate control system (meaning split controls for driver and front passenger area temperature control.)
